April 2013 The McDonough County Sheriff's Office is seeking information regarding several recent burglaries. Between December 15, 2012 and January 13, 2013 four residences were burglarized in the Industry and Adair area. Items taken in the burglaries included gold wrist watches, gold pocket watches, wedding rings, foreign coins, and confederate currency. One unique item stolen is a large clump of silver, formed from several silver coins melted together. April 2013 Click here to submit an anonymous tip December 2011 Sometime during the night of Thursday, December 8th and the early morning hours of Friday, December 9th, an unknown person or persons forced entry to a residence on Gridley Street in Bushnell. Several items were then stolen from the residence. This included several flat screen TVs, jewelry and US coins. Also taken in the burglary were several firearms, including a AR 15 style rifle, a Ruger Mini 14 rifle, a Browning .22 caliber rifle, and a Browning 12 gauge shotgun. Week of 12.7.09 Macomb Area Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a recent theft of a John Deere compact tractor. The theft occurred on sometime between November 19 and November 20, 2009 from a farm field at 22705 IL Route 95, near New Philadelphia. The tractor is a green 2003 John Deere, model 4710. The tractor has a front end loader and was attached to an auger at the time of the theft. The tractor was driven from the field to the roadway and has a missing amber light from the left side of the roll bar. On November 20, 2009 during the early evening hours unknown subject(s) burglarized a residence south west of Colchester on north 900 road. Some time between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 on Friday, October 2, 2009 an unknown individual or individual’s stole a flatbed trailer on 900 east, south of Bellingham road in Bethel Township. The trailer is a black 20 foot, dual axel, home made flat bed with white spoke wheels and a treated wood floor. The trailer is a bumper hitch with a 2 5/16” hitch and a red jack. During the week of June 15, an unknown person or persons burglarized the STC storage facility on 1400 East, north of Macomb. Several locks were cut off of the storage units and several items were stolen. Taken in the burglary included a Sanyo T.V., Toshiba DVD player, an Onkeyo stereo system, Dell computer and monitor, and Craftsman tools. An unknown person or persons also burglarized several boats docked at Argyle Lake during the same week. Taken in the burglary were several tools and fishing equipment. Week of 4.22.2008 Macomb Area Crime Stoppers is looking for your help in solving a recent armed robbery that took place at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Macomb. On 04/17/08 at approximately 10:50 p.m., an unknown subject robbed a female employee at gun point in the Kentucky Fried Chicken parking lot. The suspect was dressed in black and wearing a mask. Week of 4.08.2008 Macomb Area Crime Stoppers is looking for your help in solving a recent vandalism spree that occurred in the Prairie City area. Sometime in the recent weeks several road signs have been damaged in the rural Prairie City area. Suspects involved have spray painted several road and stop signs. Several signs were also removed from the ground and stolen. Suspects have also vandalized several windows in the village of Prairie City. Total cost of damage is estimated at over $1000.00.
